Colin Lancaster is Global Co-Head of Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income and Head of EMEA at Schonfeld. He is responsible for strategy, capital allocation, talent development and risk oversight across the firm’s global discretionary macro and fixed-income business, alongside responsibility for Schonfeld’s EMEA franchise. He also serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee. The Macro and Fixed Income unit at Schonfeld is comprised of over 150 investment professionals and manages a significant amount of the Firm’s capital.

Prior to joining Schonfeld, Colin was Head of Macro Strategies at Citadel and Head of Macro and Fixed Income at Balyasny Asset Management. During his career, Colin has managed global investment operations in London, New York, Miami, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chicago and San Francisco. Colin holds a BA in Politics from Princeton University and a JD from Marquette University Law School.

Colin is also the author of Fed Up!, a novel set against the 2020 market panic and informed by long experience inside global macro investing. The book follows a hedge fund macro trader through the volatility of the Covid-era selloff and recovery, examining the mechanisms of modern markets, central-bank intervention, and the transmission of monetary policy.
